Al Jabbar - The Compeller

Al Jabbar -The Compeller is one of the 99 names of Allah - which is also His Divine attribute.

This painting depicts three letters  ( j -b- r )of the Arabic root of the divine name, not in a connected script but the individual letter which is held together, as though by a mysterious force.  Since this divine attribute also means - The One who repairs, reforms, and completes. The One who irresistibly compels things to be set aright.

For Introspection, gravity is an invisible force that emanates from the earth and pulls everything towards it. It compels objects to be drawn towards it. This kind of force is everywhere in the universe, which keeps objects at a regulated distance from one another. The same is the case with the subatomic particles. 

The use of gold in the painting also points to this relationship of gravity with respect to its mass. Which makes it weigh more than any other metal.
